Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner

Initially, I was wary of trying out the Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner. This is because of a particularly horrifying experience after using a shampoo from a popular brand, whose name starts with the letter ‘P’. After using their shampoo, my hair was sticking together and I started to panic. I had to douse my hair with oil and washed it without using any shampoo. I had used so many shampoos and found them to be drying, but something was seriously wrong with this one. Review: Remington S2002 Hair Straightener

My hubs gifted this to me on my birthday. I have been dying to get my hands on a hair straightener for quite some time and this gift came just in time as there will be couple of marriages and celebrations in the family soon. I didn't want anything on the higher end as i didn't want to use them on a daily basis. Enough of my yapping, lets get on to the review.
Key Features:
Light indicator
60 sec Heat-up Time
Ceramic Plates
Teflon coating
360° Swivel Cord
Temperature Regulator
Slim Plates
My take on this:

This is my first hair straightener so my expectations from it might be different or even simple from other. I would like to star off by saying that this is a great choice for people buying their first flat iron and also for those who don't use it everyday. It costs about Rs1699/- and is available on Flipkart here. The first thing that a newbie as to look for is the quality of the heating plates. Here its made of ceramic with Teflon coating. Both of this feature protects the hair from heat damage, if not all at least some of the heat damage. The width of the heating plate is 30*88 mm, which is quite decent. But on voluminous hair it would take longer to style the entire hair. This is not exactly a flaw because you will get to know this before you buy and also there are other flat iron with bigger ironing area.

The flat iron comes in a heat resistant pouch. I wonder how useful this would be as the flat iron have to be cooled down completely before its put away, so what the use of a 'Heat Resistant' pouch. Heat resistant or not, the pouch is convenient to carry the flat iron. They come with 3 year warranty which is definitely one of their plus.

The heating plates are made of ceramic material with Teflon coating like i already mentioned. This is the best feature of this flat iron as it provides even heating and prevents it from getting burnt. There is no gap between the plates and this means that the hair can be neatly ironed out. The Teflon coating provides an smooth surface for the hair and the surface can also be cleaned easily if there is any product built up on it.

The flat iron comes with a temperature controller as shown above. The drawback of this is that one cannot be sure of the current temperature settings as there is not indications for it. I move it all the way up or down and then vary it to be sure of the temperature setting.
The 360 degree swivel id really useful and practical feature. The other features include the heat stand and the gap between the prongs (and not the plates). This helps us from getting our hands pinched when the plates close.
Easy on the pocket.
Ceramic and Teflon coated heating plates.
Variable temperature settings.
360° Swivel chord.
Heat stand.
Nothing to indicate the current temperature setting.
This is a user friendly and pocket friendly hair straightener. Am completely happy with this.
Note: If i have left out anything or if you have any query do let me know and i will get to them asap.
