Bronzers are a simple way to attain that healthy glowing look. They are relatively new in my makeup routine. So, I decided to experiment a bit with this affordable bronzer from e.l.f cosmetics.
First, let’s hear what the brand has to say about this bronzer.
Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Polyethylene, Tin Oxide, Tocopheryl Acetate (Ve), Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI77492, CI 77499), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 40 Lake (CI 16035)
My Thoughts on e.l.f Cosmetics - Healthy Glow Bronzer:
Although it’s called a bronzer, for me, the shade ‘Warm tan’ works more like a highlighter as the shade of the bronzer is it light on me. I have tried the other shade ‘Sun kissed’ in this range and found it to be lighter as well.
The bronzer comes in a clear casing, which gets all scratchy once you start using it. On the backside of the package, it is see through and you can see than the pan. This gives a really cheap look, but I’m not complaining because, for $2 a pop, this bronzer performs more than what you can expect from it. On the upside, the packaging is sturdy enough to carry around and seems travel-friendly.
The product is quite shimmery with minuscule glitter that is hardly noticeable, giving a superb glow that mimics a healthy/ sun kissed skin.
The bronzer is in powder form and blends easily when applied on the skin. This shade has a warm undertone that gives a nice shimmer on a dark and dusky skin. However, on a fair skin, the brown shade will come through, giving that bronzed look.

This bronzer works well on oily skins as well and does not cause any breaks outs or allergic reactions. On oily skin, many products dont last very long. This bronzer being in powder form lasts for about 4-5 hours minimum. After that, I'm not sure as I have the habit of wiping my face often (instead of dabbing).
Instructions for using e.l.f Healthy Glow Bronzer:
• Using a face brush, lightly dust on the bronzer over the cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin for a glowing look.
• Combine with brightening concealer for a sculpted look.
Somehow, I don’t see myself using this on my entire cheek area as this illuminating shade will further enhance the size of my apples. So, I am using it on the side of my cheeks (like when strobing), and definitely on the bridge of my nose. I skip using this on my forehead as I have a pretty large forehead and my already oily skin makes them shiny.
Now, about the ingredients; I have a love-hate relationship with the products from e.l.f cosmetics. They have amazing products at affordable prices, but the ingredients really put me off. Most of the e.l.f products contain at least 2 types of parabens in it.
- Looks great on Indian skin tones
- Available in India
- Great for oily skin.
- Does not irritate the skin
- Lasts for at least 5 hours
- Contains Parabens
Makeup products from e.l.f cosmetics is a great option for those on a budget and the Healthy Glow Bronzer is a great option for those trying their hand at bronzing.
