Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer in 'Biscuit' - Review & Swatches

Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer in 'Biscuit' - Review & Swatches

The Lollipops concealer was sent to me as a part of the April Fab Bag. I was happy to see two makeup products in the bag; one being the Kajal from Sugar cosmetics and this is the other one. I was completely content with the Kajal, but can’t say the same for this product.

The Lollipops Paris happens to be a French brand that has makeup products, leather goods, accessories, bag, shoes and more. Their makeup collection is pretty decent. This brand was founded by Yann Ducarouge and Marjorie Mathieu in 1994 and has made its appearance at the prét-à-porter trade show in Paris.
Now, on to the product. Here’s what the Brand has to say about this one.
A liquid concealer especially for sensitive skin which mattifies and conceals imperfections. The foam applicator makes it easy to apply. It leaves your skin unified, soft, and smooth with a non-greasy long-lasting formula. It has an SPF 15, is enriched with anti-aging vitamin E, and is paraben-free.

My Take on this product:

Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer

Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer

As soon as I set my eyes on this concealer, I thought, “For once they sent me a shade that might actually work” and yes, it actually worked. However, this excitement soon turned to a huge disappointment.

I love the package, the applicator and the shade of the concealer, but disheartened to see that it actually doesn’t do much. The concealer dries quickly, so you have to hasten the blending process. Still, it leaves streaks and dries to a powdery finish, which comes off easily.

The Shade ‘Biscuit’ has a nice orange tone that does brighten my skin, but doesn’t provide any coverage to my dark circles, and my dark circles aren’t even too dark.
The applicator is really convenient to use, no doubts about that, but why would I use a concealer that does not work?!

Here are the swatches for the concealer.

Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer Swatches

Lollipops Paris Matte Concealer Swatches

  • Handy applicator
  • Brightens the face
  • Great option for oily skin
  • Enriched with anti-aging vitamin E
  • Paraben-free

  • Doesn’t conceal – at all
  • Hard to blend – very streaky
  • Dries to a powdery finish that comes off quickly
  • Settles down in fine lines

There isn’t much to say about this product, except that it doesn’t do its job of concealing. It’s a complete failure for me.
