I know that sounds gross, but what I really want to say is that I haven’t washed my face with soap in the last 18 months and it is the best thing I have done for my face. And my skin is thanking me for it. This natural face wash powder is a boon to those with skin problems.

I have had sensitive skin all my life. I have different skin across my body – my face is oily and the skin on the legs and arms go bone dry in varying degrees. So I have to use different products for different body parts. Not that it is a new or extraordinary thing to do. Knowing what a lazy ass I am, that is asking too much from me.
So, being fed up with trying numerous products and failing miserably to find a cost-effective product that actually works, One fine day I decided to call it quits and said, “Fuck it…I’m not gonna use soap or anything on my face..” (Those were my actual words)
Of course, I couldn’t leave my face like that and end up looking like a greased leftover plate (my face) and decided to experiment with natural products. I tried various combinations of Green Gram powder and Rice powder, but they dried me out so much that I truly wanted back my oily face.
Eventually, I found my savior: Ojasvini – Herbal Snanam (bath) Powder.
Yes, this is not a powder for face, but for the entire body. I exclusively use this powder for my face. The powder is slightly gritty, giving my skin/face a nice and gentle exfoliation every time I use.

My Thoughts on Ojasvini Snanam Powder:
I have been plagued with skin problems all my life. I dreamed of having clear and beautiful skin. I had to use too much makeup – Foundation and concealer to achieve that perfect-looking skin. I was not a big fan of that. My ultimate goal was to use less makeup and in order for that to happen, I have to have if not clear skin, at least a skin with as little blemishes as possible.
Let me get straight to the point: Ojasvini Snanam Powder to help me achieve just that. I no longer have to put on a full-face makeup. Most of these days, all I have to do is, put on some undereye concealer and (maybe or maybe not) just a touch of foundation, top it with my Bentonite Clay powder (I have posted about it here. It’s a great natural alternative for the chemical-laden face setting powders) and I’m good to go. I wear my usual kajal or liquid eyeliner with this too!
It has made a world of difference to my face. My pigmentation marks have drastically disappeared, the acne scars have disappeared and it has overall improved my appearance.
I haven’t used any makeup other than colorless Aloe Vera gel, Kajal and lipstick.
As the name suggests ‘Ojasvini Snanam Powder’, it comes in powder form. Some might find this to be a hassle. This is not a problem for me as I can even carry them in a small box when traveling. The availability might be another issue. If you have access to Isha Shoppe it would be greater, if not, you can still buy it from their online shop.

How I Use It:
When I have my makeup on:
First, I use Coconut oil to remove my makeup. Then I clean my face with Cetaphil cleanser. I clean off my face with warm water. Then, use this powder for the final cleansing. Finally, I splash my face with cold water.
Splash my face with warm water first. Take a pinch of this powder and mix it with water. I massage this mixture on my face and gently exfoliate the dirt and oil off my skin. Finally, cleanse with cold water.
If you are looking for a 100% natural face and body cleansing product to fight off everyday toxins and pollutants on your skin, then this is THE product for you.
